Micronutrient, Food Sensitivity, & Gut Microbiome Testing
Micronutrient
Micronutrients are essential vitamins and minerals that play key roles in many of the bodies functions, ensuring health and well-being. No single food contains all of the micronutrients we need, which is why we need a varied diet. Almost every physiological function in your body requires micronutrients, which is why they are so important. If you suffer from: chronic disease, skin issues, numbness/tingling in your hands and feet, weakened immune system, digestive disorders, stress, chronic fatigue, depression or obesity you may benefit from micronutrient testing. Also, if you are an athlete, vegetarian or vegan, your dietitian may recommend this testing for you. For more information visit VibrantAmerica.com |
Food Sensitivity
The terms food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances are often confused and used interchangeably, although they are unique physiological conditions. A true food allergy causes an immune system reaction that affects numerous organs in the body. It can cause a range of symptoms, and, in some cases, an allergic food reaction can be severe or life-threatening. In contrast, symptoms of food intolerances or sensitivities are generally less serious, but often more difficult to detect or diagnose. If you are experiencing symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, brain fog, rashes or skin itchiness and/or redness, your dietitian will decide which foods need to be tested and may recommend this test for you. |
Gut Microbiome
Did you know you have a whole ecosystem living in your intestines? The microbes that compose this ecosystem are comprised of both good and bad bacteria. It’s no surprise that the good bacteria are important and the bad bacteria, in excess, can make you feel.. well, bad. With over 170 species of bacteria measured, the Gut Zoomer can aid advanced practitioners in detecting root causes of acute or chronic illness that stem from the gastrointestinal tract, with correlations to disease states and health risks to guide primary and secondary interventions. The Gut Zoomer also includes a robust panel of pathogenic bacteria, yeast, viruses, and parasites that are known to cause serious health concerns in humans. Your dietitian will recommend this test for you based on the information attained at your sessions. |
